Mrs. Goertz’s Micro-Grant for New Learning Centers

#onePlatte1 is proud to announce the Micro-Grant process throughout the district. We have received some generous financial contributions from some local businesses and we put together a little grant package for teachers and staff to apply for. The following information is from Mrs. Goertz’s Classroom and the benefits that she has received from these donations.

Dear Donors,

I was blessed to be a part of the micro-grant donation you provided to Platte County School District #1. Thank you so much for the opportunity to enhance literacy and math learning in my classroom. The grant provided numerous math and reading centers for students. It is important for young learners to practice the skills taught by the teacher and learning centers are a fun way to accomplish that task. In addition, I received partitions for spacing children during independent activities giving them time to focus on their assignment. My students were so excited to use their new learning materials. It’s very rewarding to see students' eyes light up as they learn. It is an honor to work in a community that appreciates and values teaching and learning.
