Wyndi Waring- Support Person of the Year: 2020-2021

Posted Date: 05/06/2020

PCSD #1 is excited to announce that Wyndi Waring has been selected as the Support Person of the Year for 2020-2021. Wyndi serves our staff and students with ‘all things’ technology and does an amazing job! As one staff member stated, “Wyndi is one of the hardest working people I know, and is one of the very friendliest, as well! She is so deserving of this award!” Technology Director Ryan Gonzalez wrote the following about Wyndi:

“Wyndi Waring started her tenure at PCSD 1 in August of 2016 as a WHS secretary. At the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year, Wyndi transferred to the technology department. Prior to moving to Wheatland, Wyndi started her dedication for education at her previous school district in Medicine Bow, Wyoming. For seven years, she excelled in various rolls, including classroom para, title para, and library para.

More recently, Wyndi has been rocking her “nerd” hat as a technology para. She is ambitious, dedicated, and not afraid to learn what is necessary to complete a job. Wyndi is always willing to go the extra mile to help out when in need. If you see her down your halls, don’t make fun of her “Dora the explorer” backpack but do ask if she needs some coffee!

In her spare time, Wyndi likes to travel with her family. She is well versed in most of our Country’s National Parks. She also likes to show her unwavering love for 80’s big hair rock bands often trying to sing along with them. Her other hobbies are gardening, golfing, and fixing their family golf cart. She is truly a tech-nerd at heart.

We, at Platte County School District 1, are so fortunate to have Wyndi as part of our technology team!”

Congratulations, Wyndi! You are well deserving of this honor!
