Quarter 4 Active Minute Winners - Mrs. Berg and Mr. Montoya held a contest each quarter to see how many active minutes students could record. The 4th quarter winners are Maci A., Riley D., and Dakota F.  Each of these students received a family pool pass donated by the Platte County Parks and Recreation District. WMS Day of Learning - On May 13th, WMS hosted a day of learning. We would like to thank Banner Health for the Healthy Dawgs program, Wheatland REA for the Electrical Safety class, Rolling Hills Bank for the Financial Literacy class, and the Platte County Sheriff’s Office SROs and Platte #1 Technology Department for the Internet/Social Media safety class.

 

Math/Social Studies Cross-curricular project “Wyoming: Boom & Bust”- This unit was presented last year at the Statewide RIDE Celebration. This year, Math and Social Studies teamed up again for this cross-curricular unit focusing on Math concepts (geometry concepts with transversals, angles, and shapes) and Social Studies concepts focused on Wyoming Towns. Students visited Sunrise, WY and then with different departments of town and county government. Students also presented their maps to West Elementary students.
