This week has been busy! And so much fun!!  Attached are some photos from Halloween wars. Introductory Foods was given their first timed challenge with Halloween Wars - Frightfully Nutritious! Student groups were tasked with creating a snack that had one area of nutrition focus (lean protein, lower sugar, fruits/veggies) with a Halloween theme. 3rd Hour Winners created lower sugar Graveyards (Dirt cups) - Bailey, Mya, Hannah J. and Izzy J. 4th Hour Winners created a Pumpkin Cream Pasta (shaped like a pumpkin) - Luis R. & Karson A. Judges were seniors who have been in my classes for several years - they did a great job with thorough questions and critical taste testing. These seniors did a nice job of encouraging the younger students but also providing feedback.
