* Extended Standards are the standards for students with the most significant cognitive disabilities. These standards are designed to be uniform to the student content and performance standards to ensure these students are provided the opportunity to learn the common core of knowledge and skills. (per W.S. 21-2-304)

*W.S. 21-2-304 (c) "The SBE shall perform an ongoing review of state board duties prescribed by law and may make recommendations to the legislature on board duties. In addition and not less than once every nine (9) years, the board shall evaluate and review the uniformity and quality of the education program standards imposed under W.S. 21-9-101 and 21-9-102 and the student content and performance standards promulgated under paragraph (a)(iii) of this section...."
