PCSD#1 Board of Trustees Selects New Superintendent

Platte County School District #1 Board of Trustees has selected Dr. Steven Miller as their new superintendent.  Dr. Miller has accepted a contract from the district and the contract will be approved this Monday, March 11, at the special meeting scheduled for 6:00 pm at the WMS media center.

Dr. Steve Miller was born and raised in Craig, Colorado.  He is married to his beautiful wife, Rachel, and they have two kids, Christian, and Zoe.  Steve first started his educational career as a middle school math teacher in a small school district east of Colorado Springs.  After a total of five years in the Colorado Springs area, Steve and his family moved to Pinedale, Wyoming to continue his teaching endeavors.  After four years at the middle school, Dr. Miller was appointed as the 6th-12th grade Instructional Facilitator.  Then the next year Steve was moved to a central office position as the Curriculum, Data, and Assessment coordinator serving the educators of the district.  After 4 years at this position, Dr. Miller is now excited to be part of the Platte County School District #1 family!  In his spare time, Steve likes to golf, fish, hike, camp, and spend time with his family.
