Genuine engagement of communities and families is essential to driving continuous improvement in education institutions. Continually striving to meet the needs of our students is the most important work for us here at Platte County School District #1. We need your input to help us in this endeavor.

As a part of this process we have used AdvancEd surveys for the past several years, and will use them again this year. AdvancEd has expanded their surveys this year to include more questions, which will hopefully provide more specific areas for us to focus on.

These surveys will give us an idea on how we are proceeding with:

  • Parent, student and staff perceptions
  • School climate and culture
  • Teaching and learning pedagogy
  • Student engagement
  • Teacher and leadership peer perceptions
  • Professional learning
  • School improvement monitoring

We will use the responses we get from parents, our students, and our staff to,

  • Capture key stakeholder feedback
  • Target professional development
  • Identify areas of strength and weakness
  • Monitor progress of improvement efforts
  • Focus improvement initiatives and elevate overall institutional quality and student achievement

We thank you for taking the time to complete this survey and for being an important part of our continued efforts to become the best school that we can be and to “Reach the PEAK.”
